Owned by an American banker, no expense has been spared to make the very best wine of Fronsac. The consulting oenologist is Michel Rolland who fashions the wine in his customary rich, rounded, hedonistic style. There is a serious structure of tannins, but this is marvelously off set by the charm of the ripe fruit and new oak, all combining to make a wine of great class and long ageing excellent alternative to the super-pricy Pomerols made a couple of kilometres away.
